As part of the equipment I carry every day, I have an EDC pouch which I tend to keep physically with me or at least have it nearby and I have a Get home Bag (GHB) which stays in the car. As part of the EDC equipment in the GHB I have this small set of technology items which are not used directly but support the use of the other equipment.
Let’s start with the case itself which is actually a Hama Universal Sat Nav Case which is compact and sturdy
The case opens to reveal two halves which have a net section for storage and a padded flap for protecting what would have been the sat-nav unit.
Lifting the protective flap reveals an area with two straps to hold items in place
Below is a photo of the EDC tech equipment I carry on routine basis
Going clockwise from top left we have
- Samsung 2.0A USB mains charger
- Uniross Li-Ion Charger for 18650/18350/18500/14500/RCR123A 3.7V
- Battery case with 3 x AAA batteries and 1 x 14500 1200mAh rechargeable battery (Ultrafire brand)
- Battery case with 4 x AA batteries
- 12v plug-in multi-USB charger
- Samsung charger cable
- Bag of charging and connector cables for the wind-up radio in my GHB
This EDC Tech kit stays in my GHB in the car and means I can keep power to phones, torches, radio etc either from mains or from a car cigarette socket. The 12V charger has 3 USB outlets as shown below and the Uniross charger has a built in USB fly-lead to enable me to charge the 14500 batteries for the CREE torch in my GHB.
What do you carry to meet your daily tech needs? Is there anything you can recommend me adding or swapping out?
